I used the 100% cocoa this week in a mousse type thing. I melted 1/2 a bar as well and used half in some whipped cream (enough for 3 of us) with 1 chopped up clementine and 1/2 whipped into some instant custard for hubby who hates cream. We had no ill effects at all. It's SO bitter though! Next time I'll melt the whole bar and whisk in single cream and splenda then re-set it into small bars. Low carb choccy but with sucralose not maltitol!

Heh - I'm glad someone else made that mistake too! My friend Shira ate a whole chunk, raw! *gasp*

I emailed Thorntons to ask if they were re-introducing the chocolate mint footballs - which were just like after eight mints to taste if not in shape - and they have said they have been withdrawn. An expensive box of assorted mint chocolates replaces them. I have emailed back saying I don't buy assortments as they have things in them I do not eat but restained myself from saying that I reckoned this was another way of rooking a captive market)

I keep emailing them to get them to use sucralose instead of maltitol - that way they won't get customers who spend 8 hours in the bathroom! They really DO need to sort that out.
