My thoughts on the new software???

HATE IT - TOO BLOODY SLOW FOR A PAGE TO LOAD.

Waited 2.5 minutes just to get to this reply box after clicking reply. Don't have that much time....

There are so many cool features! At first I thought it was a little strange but as I use it I'm really liking the changes.

Some things are not where they used to be, but once you've found them it works smooth.

I was blown away by the "more threads like this" option I saw when I answered a question in the newbies forum. What a tool!

I like the AIM and Yahoo buttons too!

What a lot of work you put into this and your doing great keeping up with all the changes!

Oh, and Miss Melis, the log out button is on the bottom of the main page.

Usually when we upgrade the system, things take longer to load until your computer "gets used to it" is how I think of it. Speed should resume with use. At least it does in my experience.

Thanks Wa'il!

Beth

I've noticed that a few of the threads I started just a week or so ago (on the Products page) are gone now.

Could this be from the conversion? One example, I had a post on some of the new Blue Bunny icecream products, but the threads are now gone even though there are much older threads on the board still.

TIA for your reply.

Hi. I am not very computer literate. My signature is ALL messed up. I went and read the info about vbcode tags and tried to fix my animated pic, but to no avail. I also wouldn't know the first thing about fixing my quitmeter (smoking thing). Would someone be interested in walking me through this? Thank you.

They're still there. No threads or post were lost. Click on the "Searcg" button below your post, to find all previous post.

I tried to fix your sig but I lost it in the process

I'll start a new thread for members to discuss signatures and how to change them.

Thanks! BTW, I tried to find them by simply looking on the pages of threads, then I did a search for Blue Bunny and found nothing. So maybe the search function is working up to speed yet. I didn't think to search by my user name. Next time I'll try that.

Thanks again.

Yes, we are still re-building the search index, it's not finished yet

Well...you DID fix my butterfly! Thank you! I've got the quitmeter html now, but still can't figure out how to fix it. I'll look for that thread.

Just want to say that I LOVE this website and these message boards and I appreciate the desire to make it even better for those of us who use it. Fortunately I've only been a member a bit over a week or so, so it shouldn't be hard for me to switch since I wasn't used to it yet anyway.

Thank you!!!

HI
Well, there's one thing, we all have to really APPRECIATE the effort you are going through, and are impressed by your attentiveness to us.

THANK YOU

I was the one who only got "page not found" in the Atkins forum. Also, lots of little boxes everywhere with x's in them. You asked for the link I was using, here it is: http://forum.lowcarber.org/f98/

I am using Internet Explorer version 6.0. I am TOTALLY attached to my Atkins forum, I hope this gets fixed!!!

There's nothing to be fixed here

The link you have is probably from an old bookmark.

Simply click on the our main forum page:

http://forum.lowcarber.org

And click on the Atkins forum, and any others normally, and they'll show you the new link:

Question

wow, i'm AWOL for awhile and when I come back all is changed. Have a lot of catching up to do, but think it looks great.

have one question though, what's the difference between quick reply and post reply?? just curious.

and I love all the new smile faces

I know change is hard, but I appreciate all your hard work, and in time, I'll figure this out.

Have a great day

Post reply takes you to a new page with full features to edit and chose options etc.

Quick reply allows you to type a reply quickly from the same page, but with limited editing options. It's good for those who are in a hurry...
