Default Porkrind pancake (They are good!) and homemade maple Syrup zero carbs!

Both of these delicious recipes contain stevia
It is carb free and all natural. If you haven't discovered it yet, you should. I shopped around for the best price and found it here, also this is one of the best brands I have used. I am not affliated with this company. It can be purchased at the following link: http://www.lifesvigor.com/prod/12736/index.htm

Pork Rind pancakes

2 Eggs

1/4 cup heavy cream

2 droppers full of liquid stevia

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 teaspoon cinnamon

2/3 c water

2 oz. Pork rinds.

Put pork rinds in food processor. Processs until fine crumbs. Put in a mixing bowl. Add the rest of the ingredients. Let sit for 5 minutes. In a buttered frying pan fry batter just like regular pancakes. My kids liked this recipe so much I had to fight them for my pancakes. Also, I was thinking about trying it without the cream to decrease the carb count.

Wendy's Low carb Syrup

Ingredients:
1 Cup Water (0 carbs)
1t Guar Gum (0)
1t Maple Extract (0)
25 drops Liquid Stevia (0)
2T Splenda (2)
2T Butter (0)

Mix all ingredients in a microwavable dish.
Microwave for 1 minute, stir. Microwave for another 1 minute, stir.
Keep in fridge. I keep mine in a salad dressing bottle.
This syrup is delicious!!!

Default in pancakes???

I have to say the idea of pork rinds in pancakes doesn't sounds good at all. I have found that you can make flax pancakes even easier, and the flax is healthy, unlike the good old fried pork skin!

just use some ground flax in place of the pork rinds. you dont need to let it sit at all. I usually use SF soy milk instead of the cream, and have reduced the water too. Just a suggestion, this is much healthier, but just my opinion!!!!

saurus...you are right the pancakes are great! I tried them last week and my 14 year old wanted some. I said you won't like what is in them, and he said he wanted them anyway sooooo...he loved them also! I am not into buying a lot of the different things like guar gum and stuff so for my topping I melted a tablespoon of butter added a little splenda and then added a couple tablespoons of pecans...tasted like nutty pancakes...very good!!!!!

I made these today and have to say they were great. I don't have stevia so I used a little splenda. I'm not crazy about sweet foods in the morning...so just used my Amish butter on them. mmmmm I plugged the info into fitday and there's only 6 carbs for the entire recipe. I hate about 1/2 so I'm counting it as 3. Not sure, but I think eliminating the cream might take away the smoothness. Just my opinion..

This is my meal of choice when I am starving.

I make it simpler by using 1/2 cup pork rind powder and 2 eggs plus a teaspoon of Mapeline extract and some davinci syrup or some splenda.
It is very thick I cook it in the fat from my bacon. When I flip it over I sprinkle it with grated cheddar. I have it once every 3 months, when I really need it.

These sound very yummy, I think I'll try some for lunch today since I've already had my breakfast for the day.

Tried this same recipe today only I used flax seed instead of pork rinds. Although the pork rind version was good...the flax seed version was better. Besides, the flax seed is much better for you.

The high salt content in the pork rinds made my weight go up a lb and my blood pressure too and even though I like pork rinds a lot - the thought of them being in my pancakes kinda made my stomach turn and some of them didn't get grounded enough so that was a turn off for me even though the end product was tasty.

So, I'll have to stick with the flax seed version seeing as I don't have to ground anything - they are already grounded and it's much better for me and taste much better.

I tried these tonight using flaxseed meal, but something didn't seem to be right...maybe someone can help, but they just wouldn't cook through and well they didn't taste very good!

I did eat them, but if I hadn't come up with the stuff to put on them I wouldn't have. I didn't have any lc syrup and didn't have the stuff to make the versions here so I decided to melt some butter and then I had a brain storm and added some of the vanilla flavored Splenda (the kind they are making for coffee, etc) Anyway it was yummmmmy! I think I could drink it it was so good!

I did have the idea that I might do this sometime and let the butter harden back up and keep it on hand for a little bite of something sweet when I want it!

pork rinds, bleagh. flax is good as an additive but not a sole thing for something sweet. Cream or cottage cheese, coconut flour, almond meal, protein powder, flax seed meal, egg, you can experiment with combinations of these. You can search this forum under "pancake" and find several kinds of them.

Holy crap! These pancakes are amazing! I made them exactly like the recipe and I am enjoying them right now. I was pretty skeptical but now that I have eaten them, I am just amazed. These are soooo delicious! They taste a lot like french toast. Going to have to buy some more pork rinds.
