How many ways can you eat eggs? Don't know if I could do that one. Meat would give you more variety. I too use lots of spices and the grill. Tates great that way.

What are they?

On the "tips and stalls" part of the forum there are references to meat fasts. In a nutshell you basically only eat meat for 3 days (you shouldn't do too long....just to get you out of a slump/stall). It's the same with the egg fast. All eggs for 3 days. On the top of the forum to the right there is "search". Hit that and look up meat or egg fasts under tips and stalls and you will find a lot of info on it!

I have still kept those 2 lbs off!

Talking I did it...

Egg fast for 3 days... it was a bit tough... but worth it... 4 lbs down...

Going to do the meat fast now for another 3 days then go back to Intro...

I would sure like to ring in June... in the 150's...

Wish me luck...

Thanx Shell

Default eggs and meat = stillmans

i read another lc brothers' thread on how he lost 8 lbs with stillmans, its an eggs and meat combo, i had lost a total of 29 lbs, then i went up 3 couldnt loose it, then i cheated, (had a breakfast from mcdonalds, with eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuit and potatoe, and to my horror i was up a total of 9 lbs, im sure most of it was water as tom is around the corner, but i started the stillmans cuz i said either i go back on something now!!! or i ll gain back all 29 + extra, well after day 1 i was down 6 lbs, dont care if it was water, air, or dust, its encouraging to loose anything, well yesterday was day 2, now im a night nurse so i weigh myself in the evening so im off to bed now, i ll know how day 2 went in a couple of hours, this web site and you guys are a great source of comfort, since ya'll made me realize im not the only one in the world who can go up and down,
GOD BLESS each and everyone of you!!!

Good morning all I know haven't been here in awhile but anyways I started the meat fast too and the first day I lost 3 lbs. I was wondering how long you should be on it any time limit? And I am really having a hard time keeping my carbs to 0 but will try this one more day, this is my third day and still at a 3 lb loss...Good luck all

I hope they havent been on a fast for a year I image they would have dried up and blown away.
No time limit -its not really a PLAN. Atkins says you don't lose more at zero then at 20. ANd of course you are going to have bowel and digestion problems that will make you stop.

Don't do it for more than 3 days. As the previous poster mentioned, it is not actually a Plan, or even a true diet. Just something some of us tried. I may give it a try again, been a year since the last time!

Edited to add: And yes, the weight stayed off hehe!

These are all interesting... does anyone have philosophies about why a meat or egg fast might work?

I've tried a few different plans - and generally am VERY resistant to weight loss on all. Though I did get a little dip down on the scale a couple months ago after having just had a taste for chicken, and having eaten a few pieces either every day or every other day - from KFC, original recipe with the skin removed. I had other things too throughout the day, too, wasn't cutting back beyond what I had cut back earlier.

wow I hadn't heard of an egg or meat fast until I read these posts either.

Congratulations on breaking your stalls

I've been stuck for the last 4 weeks, AND I am going on holiday next month (and so close to goal) ... I think I may try a combination egg/meat fast - I definitely couldn't do a meat only fast but there is sooo many ways that you can do eggs! I think I could live with it for a few days.

Again, congratulations on breaking your stalls

Edit>> Just a quick question, did any of you that did the meat/egg fast drink any drinks other than water?
