Black57, my hubby just created a new recipe for bbq sauce for ribs it's wonderful, it does have splenda in it and I know some people like to stay away from all artifical sweetners, so I like to give them a heads up. We also like to toss back occasionally some low carb margaritas, I think they taste as good as any Mexican restaurant margaritas.

I was thinking of having the bbq either at that big park in Irvine or my house. Yes it would be great if everyone could bring a dish, it will be fun trying other peoples recipes. Do you have any favorite low carb recipes?

I was hoping that you'd say Irvine Park. I llllllove that park. We can walk around and go to the zoo ( see live protein ). I look forward to the BBQ sauce.

I have been contemplating a macaroni salad made with lo carb pasta. The kind of macaroni I use contains soy. Is soy OKAY for everyone. It also has raw broccoli, cukes and a few tomatoes. I use Ken's Creamy Ceasar Dressing. I also have a low carb choc/cocolate chip cookie recipe. We should make sure that we don't gorge ourselves, that would be so un-Atkinslike

How does that sound?

Good morning everyone, hi Raynegrrl yes please join us, like Luna say's the more the merrier! Would we like to have our bbq this month? I'm available the weekend of the 21st and the 28th. How do your calendars look?

What does everyone want to bring?

I can bring ribs, Black57 the macaroni salad and the cookies sounds great. Yep we gotta be careful not to gorge ourselves, but if we have samplings of everything that should be ok, plus we can work off our lunch with some games.

I am barely learning and have not yet learned to make anything BBQ worthy yet... I can try to find a recipe or do something easy like a plate of tomato and Mozrella or Celery & Cream Cheese ... I am not sure if I have anything planned on those days yet as far as scheduling I will have to get back to you

Hopefully in the meanwhile more of us So. Cali's will pop up!

Oops bad news my hubby just informed me that we have plans the weekend of the 28th, so the only weekend I have available is the 21st in June.

Luna, I've got confidence in ya, your dish does not have to be elaborate. It will be a good learning experience for you.

July would be fine with me. I probably can gather up some people from Curve's where I work out in the meantime.

How is everyone else feel about July?

Default Another thing

Where are y'all from. I am in Tustin, as I think many of you know.
I have been on Atkins since the day after Thanksgiving. I intend to get down to 125 by Thanksgiving although that is not in my stats. I am not making that a requirement for this year but that is where I wanna be in the not so near future.
