Plan: The Carbohydrate Addict's Lifespan Program
Stats: 190/140/135 Female 5'7"
BF:
Progress: 91%
Question WHAT am I loosing?

I have noticed something rather odd. I seem to be able to get into my smaller clothes while at a higher weight than I ever have before.

Am I just loosing fat?

If this is a side affect of CALP then I think I like it.

LIBBY,
I SEE THE SAME THING. I GAINED 15 POUNDS SINCE LAST YEAR ACCORDING TO THE DR. WHICH SHOULD MEAN THAT NONE OF MY CLOTHES FIT, BUT IN FACT THEY DO FIT. TODAY MY PANTS THAT ARE USUALLY SNUG IN THE LEGS WERE LOOSE. AND I HAVE NOT LOST ANYTHING.
MUSCLE WEIGHS MORE THAN FAT. THAT'S WHAT I KEEP TELLING MYSELF ANYWAY!

Glad that I am not the only one. Who knows..... if I keep this up I might have to reevaluate my final goal. Wouldn't THAT be nice!?

yeah, it's normal, and wonderful, and two things are probably happening...one, you are losing body fat and excess water. Two, you are NOT losing muscle (which happens with low-cal, low-fat diets). In fact, getting sufficient protein, perhaps for the first times in our lives, we may be putting on muscle (even without changing our exercise routine).

For me, lifting heavy weights, the formula has changed thus: low cal dieting, losing 12 pounds meant a dress size. Now, losing 5-6 pounds means a dress size. Amazing, eh?
