Default sugar free topping?

Hi,
In the SB book it has a recipe for oatmeal pancakes, and to top them with a "sugar free topping of your choice". What is sugar free topping? I dont think I have ever seen it here in Australia, or does it mean to use diet jam or something similar?

Hi Nicole,

Try Cottee's Diet Toppings. They are the only sugar free toppings I've seen here.

They also have caramel, strawberry, and maybe other flavours.

Cheers.

Oh thanks for that! I never thought of ice cream topping! I was thinking there must be some sort of sugar-free maple syrup on the market. The US seems to have so many other food choices and LC alternatives that we don't - doesn't it make you jealous?

At times. More so when I first started. But now I realise I actually do best to stick to the basics - meat, fish, eggs, vegies etc. As soon as I start eating LC sweets (homemade with Splenda), I seem to stall and go off track.

BTW, have you checked out our little Aussie/Kiwi section of the board? In case you haven't, here's the link: http://forum.lowcarber.org/forumdis...daysprune=&f=43
Can be very handy for local bits and pieces.

Cheers, matey

Roz
