Default Am Now 50!!

Yesterday was my big 50 birthday and the wonderful people I work with gave me a party. I did NOT do well and ate cake and some other carbs. Do I need to start all over? I have been doing Adkins for 2 weeks and have lost 13 lbs. To tell you the truth the cake and other goodies just did not taste too good. Thanks for the help. Carole

Hey Carole, BIG CONGRATS on turning 50! I'd have eaten some cake too! I guess the important thing is just to get yourself back into ketosis, right? If that means re-doing induction, no big deal really. It's not about guilt or shame, just about keeping yourself on the losing path. Hope it continues to go well for you! Keep being a loser!

Anthony

Happy 50th Carole, I am right around the corner from you in September. I always like to do something unusual around my birthday time...this year it's gonna be getting the weight off and keeping it off next winter...unlike what I have done this year and years in the past

Default Happy Birthday

First and foremost Happy happy birthday!! Don't fret. You only turn 50 once and you deserve to celebrate. It is the first day of the rest of your life. I had that pleasure 4 years ago. Now that the celebration is over you can now get right back on the horse and continue on induction again. If anything it should only slow your weight loss down maybe for a week and then you should be back in the losing stream again. It is hard to say no on special occasions, especially when it is your celebration. Anyway put it behind you and move forward.

There is a forum that I have joined for 50 and over. Lots of nice people there if you want to drop by they would be glad to hear from you.

Hope to see you there. Drop by anytime.

Marilyn
