Lightbulb Induction menu plan ideas?

Hi,
anyone out there know where i can find some good ideas for induction week one? I am looking for menu ideas to make it easier on myself. I mean I can only take so many scrambled eggs and bacon each morning. And I need ideas for allllllllllll meals.
So if you know any sites (other than lowcarbfriends.com b/c I have searched that one....) let me know. Thanks so much!

Heidi

Talking yup

Hi there Dixe, welcome to a great site. If you search around you will find lots of induction stuff. Karen posted a long post on induction menus. Just remember, keep it simple and the time will pass quickly.

I lost 10 lbs. on induction. Yes, I ate alot of scambled eggs and bacon but lots of other stuff too. Favourites,

filet mignon with grilled veg (try a little goats chesse melted on the veg.
Jumbo shrimp grilled on BBQ, shells on, baste in oil, garlic and a little chilli oil.
Grilled chicken with greek salad, lots of feta, (fills you up)
Favourite desperation food is corned beef, out of the can, high fat, fills you up like crazy.
Try stir fry veg. I love Spanish style green and yellow beans.
Cook a silce of bacon till crisp, crumble the bacon, throw in the cooked beans and a bit of red pepper, some pine nuts on top.
Many good cook books out there. Most important is planning. I plan my menus days ahead since I've learned that if I don't, trouble. I get really hungry and screw up.

Won't be long, hang in there. Good luck, HL

Hi Heidi
Just reading your thread about eggs & bacon - that was exactly what I said when I first started. Rest of the day was fine, but breakfast was a pain. Started cooking up chicken wings, salmon patties, little bit of chicken for breakfast. Planning is very important! Just because it's "breakfast", does not mean it has to be the acceptable "breakfast food". I often have a little bit of cheese, or a tin of chilli tuna, etc. List is endless - don't stick to the bacon & eggs thing or else you could end up throwing it in!
Best of luck
Cheers...Pam

Thumbs up

Thanks ya'll!!
I know that there is more to bkfst than eggs and bacon but way back when when I first tried this diet it was fairly new and not alot of menus out there!! I did find a yummy recipe on the atkinsfriends.com website....called breakfast muffins (with sausage and cheese and eggs) yum...and quiche and whatnot so that I can make ahead (and plan like you said!!)
So thank you I will look around and see what else Ifind.

Best wishes,
Heidi

Default Try not to get bored

There are many ideas for induction on the internet.
I stuck to the recipes in the book, and since I need to loose a lot of weight I'm going to be on induction for a while (until i loose 30%).A recipe that I enjoyed was the sundried tomato and cream chicken (it's in the atkins book)
Stri-fry veggies with tofu are great.
I use a little of chicken broth (maybe 2 tablespoons), soy sayce and chinese spicy sauce. (if you are into spicy stuff).
The most important thing about induction is not to get bored.
The pounds will shed easily.
I started at 273 and now I'm 257 in just 2 1/2 weeks
Good luck and enjoy
