Lightbulb TDC Challenge: 5% in 5 weeks

Who is up for a challenge? How about 5% loss of body weight over the next 5 weeks.

Studies show that 5 percent weight loss helps to prevent diabetes and reduces the risk of coronary artery disease by about 15 percent

I just lost 5% in approximately 7 weeks. I was LCing it but not very strict though until about 3 weeks ago so I believe that most of it came off in the last 3 weeks not 7. Its attainable if we try it and if not any small percentage is a good thing!

Let's decrease our chances by 15% starting Monday.....who is with me?

If your in shout it from the roof top......I have to lose 3.29 pounds per week for a total of 16.49 (ok 16.5 lol) I will do this by committing myself to my team members here on the challenge, eating that Atkins way and exercise.

That would be 2.3 lbs per week for me. . .sure I'm up for a challenge. I'm a turtle and already stick to a very strict LC program and exercise regularly, but 2.3 lbs per week sounds like it should be do-able, eh?

Yahoo sista friend! I am right there with you girl. I will weigh in again Monday morning. So technically I guess I should start my 5% at that body weight right? Sure its do-able. Anything you set your mind to is do-able!

5% in 5 weeks? Count me in!~

That makes 12.45 to be precise, to lose.
2.49 lbs. a week for 5 weeks...

I will weigh again after that t.o.m. is over-
it's nearing it now...

I can do it... yes I can, you too!

Count me in!

That would be 13.25 (2.65/week)

Since my scale only does .5#, lets make it 13.5, which will leave me only 1.5 from my first milestone.

I posted 2 challenges today and the first one did not seem to get too much response. (it is the weekend though so we will see) Anyhow I wanted to stop by and say thanks for joining me. (although we are still looking for more) I think this will be a great challenge. Oh and by the way I figured out that our challenge ends on Labor Day.....hmm I am thinking we might need to hit the stores during the big sales for our new dress sizes!

14.5 lb for me. I'm planning to have dropped a bit more than that at that point but we'll see.

I am staying off of the scale until it is over, because looking at prior food diary, I always gain some weight prior to it- and then whoosh it comes off when it is over- I don't want to get discouraged, and especially due to hormones!

I'm at 224.

11.2 lbs. is 5%.

2.24 lbs. per week.

I'd like to do a bit better - and get to 210 by the end of the challenge...2.8 lbs. per week...
