Hi all,
Nic---What I'm hearing is that you got "bit" in a good way by your new path---by which I mean you're racing ahead in your mind. A bit stressful yes, but I think also the sign of some excitement and commitment. Once you get your next steps all planned out and on the books, I think the stress will ebb and the anticipation will build.
Sorry about all the goings on with the seniors in your life, but regarding your ILs and hubby's deal you have a great attitude. Say your piece once, and then let them fight it out.
I have been doing exactly that w/the settling of hubby's step dad's estate. It is a freedom to not be so invested, which we have to be w/our own parents.
Lori---Wowza, I found the "diagnosis" of your Sport Chiro kind of mind blowing in that it really illustrates why you have struggled so with that shoulder! I mean your "shoulder blade is just frozen to your rib cage!" It just mystifies me that your ortho had nothing to say about any of this. Realize he's about bones, but jeez, this seems the downside of a specialist to me. Where is the overall view?
Anyway, so happy for you to find your own solutions, and very impressed with the gusto w/which you've gone about it.
BTW, your DIL is going to LOVE her salt water pool. As I have mentioned here before, we have some pals who have one---they are the 4th party we always go to. It is not AT ALL like swimming in the ocean. No sticky, itchy, briny. I swear, feels like you've had a skin buff when you dry off, for hours later your skin feels so soft!
Jaz---Just happy to know you're relaxing and doing what you please. Had a great day w/the grands, now it's your time. You so deserve and need this and I think/hope you'll find your mind beginning to clear out a bit, w/clarity on its way. IOW, perspective---one of our best friends and sometimes we just can't get there till we have some time to RELEASE!
Trig---I read Steady's post and I thought, oh, this is so what works for Trig! Wasn't at all surprised to read your latest post and I'm so glad it perked you up and got you on your way again.
Thanx Steady! As different as we all do it, hence LCOW, it's so great when someone posts something that really resonates for one of us, a few of us, or all of us.

OK, here's my story. I got the aqua jogger belt I ordered today.
It seemed simple to thread the belt thru and make it work, so of course I didn't look at the instructions. I ended up with this thing around me, w/two big foam wings sprouting out at the waist. Had my suit and water shoes on and went into hubby's office and said "I don't think this is right."
Lord, he laughed so hard I thought he'd never get his breath back. When he finally did he said "For God's sake darlin', don't go down there looking like that!"
I took it off, gave him the manual, and w/in a couple of minutes he had it put together right. This is the story of our marriage in a very good way.
Went down to the pool w/my aqua jogger on tight and ship shape, my water shoes and water weights. There were a bunch of ladies I know in the pool and I just felt so silly I had to announce myself as Aqua Woman. We had a good laugh---the only way to go when you're striking out in all kinds of foam rubber.
Good news is, I REALLY like the aqua jogger! It allows you free use of your arms and legs, and w/my weights I can really get it going on, including getting my heart rate up. There's no end of movements you can do w/it. I can still jog the pool circumference w/it too, a bit slower going but also easier to do more arm work.
Anyhow, whole thing really perked me up. Plus, I went to Trader Joe's and got stocked up w/some LC goodies. Oh, and thanx
Lori , ha, hadn't thought about how much I love Swiss cheese nor had any in quite awhile. So I got some and had a chunk of it w/a handful of strawberries for lunch. Oh man, was that ever good---not that I need to tell you that.
Still, for me I only need so much and just delicious w/the strawberries, again, not a lot of them needed. Oh, and the strawberries are really peaking right now, so amazingly good.
Dinner is a porterhouse steak w/Trader Joe's mushroom's in butter garlic sauce on top, and a cup of sweet potato frites. Love those so much. Brings my carb count today in at about 30 or so for today. Just fine w/that.
