I remember you from a few months ago asking a few questions because you were undecided. Welcome to the beach.
And congratulations on your amazing success so far on your weight loss journey. I don't think there is anything wrong with doing what works for you and changing things up and around to serve your needs at that time. Atkins worked for me for a long time as far as educating me on how the body works. Unfortunately I didn't lose more than about 12 lbs. But that wasn't Atkins fault, it was my own inablility to stick with it. I'm doing a little better on the SBD but I still fall off the wagon here and there. I wish I was one of those persons who could just committ to it heart, body, and soul. Maybe I need to go to a shrink to find out why I keep sabatoging myself.

Welcome to the Beach Sheila!

Yes, do join in on the weekly weighin.

As for you starting in phase II....may I ask why you decided to do that?

It would be a bit better, and slower in terms of carb increase, for switchers from Atkins to begin with 2 weeks of phase I...then move onto phase II.

Smart of you to make this switch.

Thanks ya'll.

Judy, really it is a smidge in between. It will take a while for me to adjust to fully be in phase 2. Kinda doing it "myway' but not really.

OK...just go slowly adding carbs back in....one thing per week works best for most of us.

Hey Sheila!!! I remember you contemplating this. Let us know what you think....I was a long time Atkinser (still like Atkins - don't get me wrong) but it was nice to switch it up....Give it some time...there were some things I really missed (like a big rib eye with fat) but I got over it... or ate something else leaner.

I am leaning out pretty good. I am ready to lean out my diet some. Will it backfire? I don't know. But I really have missed eating some simple basic good for you foods. I figure by now, I know what foods are "Good" for my body, now to incorporate a few that I have been lacking! Thanks again for the warm welcome!

ETA: I am really not looking for alot of weightloss. I am switching more for finding something that I can stick with , without feeling like I have to have a "cheat" day once a week. I am doing this to seek out more balance. Now, if I eventually get into the lower 140's, upper 130's AWESOME!
