Default 2 cups of veggies??

Hi all,

I love veggies, but I balked at the CAD book when I read that I was being asked to eat 2 cups of veggies at each of my non-reward meals.

Is that true? How can anyone eat that much without eating a salad?

I'm good for about 1/2C total at each meal. What are others eating?

welcome to the site! Pleae come back and post lots and tell us all about you.
I don't measure my veggies. If I have protein, I have veggies. I have a bowl of salad or 1/2 can of green bean or whatever I have left over. SOmetimes just a couple of stalks of celery. Do what works for you!

Welcome to the program!

Whenever I eat my CM, Complementary Meal, I try to eat the same amount of vegetables as I do protein. According to the CALP book that I follow, we are to eat a combination of protein and vegetables leaving the amount up to us. If you prefer to eat more protein than vegetables, that is okay as long as you include vegetables in your meal.

I hope you find that CAD/CALP works well for you!
