carbs post workout?
Is there any reason I should eat carbs after a workout.....that being 30-45 minutes of weight training and another 20-30 minutes of cardio.
I usually work out in the evening and consume only water and a protein shake (low carb of course) afterwards.
I am doing Atkins induction for two weeks now (post Christmas purge) but was wondering about carbs post workout after the fact. What are the benfits? Is it ok to eat carbs (obviously healthy ones) before I sleep?
I am trying to avoid eating anything 3 hours before bed but if I do, it is usually protein.
