Plan: My own - < 30 net carbs
Stats: 440/228/210 Male 5' 11"
BF:Energy Unleashed
Progress: 92%
Location: Central Virginia - USA
Default

The challenge: Oct 24 to January 22 - Lose weight each month via TRE, IFs, high protein, LC, portion control, more activity, and avoiding problem LC foods. Data Driven Fasting concepts and trading fat for protein in my macros is the plan. Active days count days with 10K plus steps or 2+ miles of walking.

Weight loss 1st 30 days: 1
OMAD Count: 0
2 meals Count: 2

Eating to plan: 6
Off the mark: 3 - 3 bad days in a row. Eating crappy, processed junk. Must change now.
Active days: 9 - Getting 10K in most everyday.

I'll be starting another round of DDF on November 5th. The goal is to stick to it like glue for the first 30 days.

Took a bit of sleuthing to find this thread. Hard to believe it became inactive.

My new challenge -----

Jan 1 to Mar 31
Carnivore, just meats , like beef, pork, chicken, eggs, bacon, fish. Salt, pepper, maybe mustard. Some herbs and spice, mayo and fats. Cheese 🧀 and. Dairy like cream and butter.

First week, allow 1 cup lettuce a day to transition.
Allowing acv, kombucha, buttermilk, sour cream, sort of stuff.
Flax seeds allowed as its my estrogen supplement.

Allowing 1 day a week for goofs, 12 goofs. I know this journey will be hard at times.

Looking to focus on simple food. For just THREE months. While gardens are sleeping!!

Good to have company!!

Do add allowance for oops days. We want to develop a new behavior, allowing for messing up now and then.

Somehow I tried to copy my 10 step plan and deleted it. I will have to try to recreate it. Good grief!

Day 1 behind me with solid low carb adherence and motivation is very high right now - I am going to ride it for as long as I can. Day 2 is feeling good and I am especially happy that I don't have the keto flu effect!

Day 2 - on plan and on track. 16:8 IF is working so far. Also, all the tips I've implemented to avoid keto flu worked so far - no keto flu symptoms. Ready for Day 3.

The no food after 7 pm is a true success factor for me too. Once I am up and start eating in the evening, it becomes a slippery slope because it's usually unplanned and immediate gratification eating that I indulge in during the late evening. The way I've been managing it while I am off work this week is to have my coffee soon after I am up, and delay my real meal to start after the lunch hour. It's usually my biggest meal of the day loaded with veggies and protein and it keeps me pretty full until 5 pm. My last eating session happens around 5:30 pm or 6 pm but not after 7pm and it's usually light. If I am hungry for my last meal of the evening (around 5:30 pm) I will make an open faced egg sandwich and have a bowl of broth with it. That seems to be working very well and keeps me satisfied until I go to bed. I have to figure out what next week back at work looks like because I will have to pack my lunch for my in-office days (M/T/W), which means weekend meal prep/ pre-planning.

Yes, My TRE is noon-6. But recently the ,,6 pm cutoff is not working. Cause Im tired, disrupted sleep. Teens up late, or not home. DH works late, walks in house about 11:30-11:45. Dog alerts. Getting quality sleep is at times a struggle......which affects eating.
