Default Almond breeze....

Anyone try this in their coffee? Its shelf stable so I thought it would be great to take on a trip--the unsweetened kind has 2 carbs per 8 oz and in coffee I am not going to put in much more than a splash. I use HWC now but its a total calorie bomb so I thought Id see what you all thought. Have yet to try it myself. Thanks!

Shelf stable yes.

But after it's opened it should be refrigerated.

I have some chocolate in my frige and sometimes use a double shot of espresso with 3/4 cup of chocolate almond breeze. Tasty.

Progress not perfection.

i use it with hwc...i have always preferred the almond milk over soy, and even regular milk...coconut milk and almond milk are great additions to hwc in coffee...and whatever else you can think of .

In addition to the fact that it is supposed to be refrigerated once opened, "just a splash" probably won't do. I usually use 1 Tbsp HWC in my coffee, and I need a good 1/4 - 1/3 cup of Almond Breeze to make the coffee remotely creamy.

...other than that, I do like it. I like the unsweetened vanilla.

I second Kristine...you need a lot more than you would use of hwc to make your coffee creamy. And I find the heat of the coffee makes the almond flavour REALLY powerful. Something to keep in mind if almond is not one of your favorite flavours. I switched to coconut cream for my coffee and prefer it, however, I do love the unsweetened chocolate almond breeze cold..mmm sooo good.

So after talking about it in this thread, I do something I never do. I had a second cup of espresso about an hour ago--with 2 TBS h&h and 4 oz of choc almond breeze. I must like almond because I didn't find it overpowering at all, very creamy with good mouth-feel. Now I'll probably be up half the night. If I am, I'm blaming you guys!

The unsweetened Almond Breeze plus a dash of cream is really good for a milk substitute for lattes or cappuccinos.

Yes, I like it to make "chai latte".

I just got some "coconut creamer" from the health food store, hoping for some coconut punch... but it was more like coffee whitener.

It was called "SO Delicious Coconut Milk Creamer." But it had no flavor at all and I poured a whole cup of coffee down the sink.

I heat up the unsweetened chocolate AB and then add a scoop of my protein powder (allmax isoflex chocolate peanut butter) and stir. It is like the best cocoa ever!

I really like almond milk. After a while I got bored and started putting some splenda and sugarless cocoa in it. Yum.

The protein powder doesn't get all clumpy/stringy/weird when you do this? I seem to recall this problem happening to me when I put protein powder in some liquid that was on the stove top...
