Default Sunflower seeds-phase 1?

It’s ball season and I normally eat shelled sunflower seeds is this allowed on the induction phase ?

not sure of your exact plan but nut's and seeds are pretty much out during "induction" A list of foods for induction is here. If it's not on the list, don't eat it.

https://www.dietdoctor.com/se/wp-co...starch_diet.pdf

I searched this for "nuts" and "seeds" they do not appear so the advise is "don't eat them"

I wish you well and enjoy the season!

Two weeks into induction, if you're following Atkins the way it's written, up to an ounce or two of nuts and seeds a day are okay to add in if they don't cause weight gain or cravings or any other ill effect.

Hi Calista. I'm a ball fan, too! Do you ever get to some Canadians games?

I don't care for the seeds, but my DH likes them and I'm forever finding shells in the laundry and the carpet. Yeah, they're not a good choice for induction, but they'd be better than giving up.

I often time dinner for the first pitch. Once summer gets here - and we don't have A/C - it's usually just a munchy plate - cold leftover meats, deli meats, cheese, veggies, pork rinds, and whatever dips: guacamole, salsa, sour cream, ranch dressing, etc. Sometimes nuts for me, because I don't like them enough to binge on them. Bleh.

I kid you not, I even take that to the Rogers Centre if we go to a game.

Play ball!

I like your ball style Kristine! My son plays ball so I’m at the field 3/4 times per week. I’ll have to pack my cooler bag filled with induction goodies this week minus the sunflower seeds.

Excellent! Good luck to your son and his team. I remember the bad old days in the 80s when we always had one of those giant jugs of McDonalds orange drink at tournaments or long game days, and we ate a ton of junk food on top of that. I hope things have changed somewhat.

Yum I loved McDonalds orange drink!!! But I’m glad it’s gone so my kids don’t guzzle it down like I did ! So I’ve been doing good at ball without sunflower seeds! Yay me! I’m also down 9 pounds in 6 days. Atkins is my new way of life!
