There's the problem.



I buy local eggs and cheese, apples and greens, and as much local meat as I can afford. I can choose from small producers whenever I can. Because these giant companies aren't growing berries.

Some things, like coffee and chocolate, has to come from elsewhere, but they don't make those, either. I look at the labels.

For them, I'm a non-person

So they've driven the Ma and Pa modified soy oil shops out of business? That's a shame.

I buy a lot of generic/store brand stuff. Don't know but wouldn't surprise me if these big companies produce the stuff for them, too, so some of the healthy foods I can afford may come from them. They sure do sell a lot of other products that aren't healthy.

The profit goes up with the processed stuff made from cheap ingredient so they push that. Cereal is outrageously overpriced.
