My hair was "falling out in chunks" earlier this year so I checked that poll button... boy it sure got thin for awhile... but I wish I could edit my poll choice now and check the "it grew back" button too 'cause it has. There are still a lot of shorties, but it's actually starting to look pretty good again!

My God, reading this thread is frightening... You're putting low carbing and hair loss together?

Whoa.... I've been a faithful Atkins eater since 1972, and I don't EVER recall ever losing hair. The average human sheds about 900 hairs a day.. but 900 new hairs pop out of the follicle everyday, as well. Same with our skin... We shed .010 oz. of skin a day, but .010 oz of epidural layer is born everyday..
We're in constant motion... as it should be.

I believe I posted in this thread awhile back. Turns out hair loss/breakage for me was due to undiagnosed low thyroid, not to diet.

Cheers,
