Default Lost 50lbs eating meat...need to lose more w/o meat.

Hey everyone...

about 2 years ago, thanks to you guys, I lost 50lbs in 6 months low carbing.

I turned vegetarian earlier this year (almost 7 months) and Ive gained tons. I started my diet at 195 and ended at 145. Right now Im around 175lbs. :| Anyway, I need to lose this weight. I would love to low carb again but I dont know exactly what my choises are left.

I eat eggs and cheese. Just no meat, chiken or sea food. Any food tips?

Before/After.

Heh: unfortunately, vegetarianism isn't the diet/weight solution that people often think it is. It's too easy to throw out the baby with the bathwater, so to speak, and not get enough protein and fat. It sends your blood sugar up and down like an elevator.

Fortunately, it just takes some tweaking. You can get a lot of protein from eggs and dairy, you're on the right track there. There are also some awesome soy products. I like Yves brand. TVP is a nice, cheap substitute for ground beef and it does an excellent job. I make a good taco salad out of it. Peanut butter is another one of my staples.

Are you following a specific program?
