I have not had a cycle in well over a year. I prefer not to take birth control which would regulate it. I started Atkins 5 days ago and started my cycle today. Wow! People are so Leary about low carb, but obviously it has positive effects!

That's exactly what happened to me the moment I started my WOE. Glad it is helping you too.

This is very interesting to me as well. My cycles in the past few years have normalized, but they were still 32 days. I started Atkins 3 weeks ago and my TOM came 3 days early. I don't think I've ever had a 29 day cycled in my life! So curious to see what next month brings!

Smart doctors put women with fertility issues on LC diets. It helps with PCOS. We've got a whole forum on the subject.

Not Nancy, but you are in the PCOS forum now. Appears this thread was moved. There is a sticky thread at the top^^with the basics collected over time, if that is what you are looking for.

Thank you, but I'm kind of a bone head. What exactly am I supposed to be clicking on? Just the PCOS forums? I'm still new to this and I don't know what a sticky thread is. Thanks for you patience.

No problem, this is a big forum with so many sub-forums http://forum.lowcarber.org/index.php? and for some reason most people's eyes glaze right over the Sticky. Stickies contain important information the webmaster decides should be retained at the top, e.g. newbie advice sticky, though it appears not to be read often. But I am guilty of the same on a travel forum that uses this same format platform.

Also, above the second bar green bar at top with your User control panel, shows you the "stack" of folders where you are. Just tap any there and you could go back to All Health topics, or start at the beginning Index folder.
