Talking 10 lbs in 12 days?

Well I got on the scale this morning (first time since I started) and had to get on and off it 3 times to make sure it was right. My scale is telling me that I lost 10 lbs already...Is this really possible? I am going to go over to the mall and weigh myself on the scale at GNC to see what it says. I just can't believe that I have lost 10 lbs in only 12 days. I hope it is right though! I was expecting 5 lbs, my clothes were feeling looser. Is this a pretty common amount to lose or what? It just seems like a lot...but don't get me wrong I'm extremely happy!

Thrilling, ain't it? Keep up the great work!

Usually the first big drop in poundage is water weight, but it's weight nonetheless! Now you can get down to the ins-and-outs of fat burning!

It's neither usual, or unusual because everyone has a different experience with induction.

It's not uncommon, paigesmom, but as Karen pointed out a good part of it will be water weight. Of course, it was excess water weight and you didnt need it - so good riddance

Women can safely lose 2 lbs of fat a week - anything more is muscle or water. So while you did lose some fat during your 12 days most was water weight. The fat loss will continue, which is what you are aiming for - but do not be alarmed when it slows down. Slow and steady wins the race - now is the time to adopt and learn new behavious that will enable you to continue on with your WOL and keep the fat you lose off!

WTG so far
