Yes, indeed...this killer "diet" certainly is dangerous and should be OUTLAWED.

Oh, by the way...here are the results of the bloodwork after having been on the killer "diet". First set of numbers are the readings taken the day before starting the "diet", the second are the results after having been on the WOE for seven week:

Total went from 203 down to 198
LDL went from 125 down to 118
HDL went from 51 up to 64
Triglycerides went down from 133 to 81

Kendrick is great. He's part of The International Network of Cholesterol Skeptics. Check his column on redflagsdaily regularly.

Hmmm. I like Kendrick too, but nobody is right about everything. That hole in the ozone layer has NOT gone away. As a matter of fact, it's bigger than ever.

This isn't the place to go into a discussion of ozone, but I would suggest we be as skeptical about the "hole" and the human origin of it as we are about the claims that dietary fat is bad for you.

Excellent article. I bookmarked it.

Yet another advantage of LCing: I've developed a critical attitude toward medicine, the media and my own health.

A voice of sanity surfaces to counter the feeding frenzy of UK journalists who have used the summer silly season to knock Atkins.

Oh I am, I am! Skeptical, that is. Since learning so much about scientific 'truth' through my study of nutritional subjects, I take everything I read with a grain of salt. I still have great respect for science, but I now think we know a heck of a lot less than we think we do, in a lot of subjects. I think of it (my new attitude) as another benefit of low carb eating!
