Default Molly's BodyMedia Link Armband Thread

Hello everyone!

I hope it is okay to start a thread like this. You see, I finally got my BodyMedia Link Armband system today. Like the ones they use on The Biggest Loser. I don't watch that show, but I've heard they are used on it. It is a device you wear 23/7 on your upper left arm and it tracks how many calories you are burning, as well a ton of other stuff.

You can also use it wirelessly with your Bluetooth enabled iPhone or iPod, or iPad. You have to buy the LINK model for that, and it costs a little extra, but I'm going to enjoy using it with my iPod Touch 5th gen, which I am NEVER without.

I was wondering if anyone else is using the BodyMedia armband products? I had a BodyBugg a few years ago and was stunned at how well it worked--I was shocked that I was not burning as many calories as I thought.

Also, I have disabling back injuries, and a cyst growing on my spinal cord that is more than 3" long, so I am not able to exercise. But this new device, new and improved--will help me a lot to see the calories I am burning. It knows when you are sleeping, it knows when you're awake. It's amazing! Mine is charging right now and I'm eager to get it on and start logging my foods with it tomorrow. You download their app, or you can use one like FitDay or SparkPeople to log your food. I just wish the darn thing would hurry up and charge!

If anyone else is using a BodyMedia device, can we gather here and talk about it? Questions? Answers? I would love to be able to do that. :-) They DO have FAQ's on their website, but not a forum. I wish I could find a forum just for them, but so far, no luck, plus I just love you guys so much here anyways!! Suddenly, I feel like I am getting support from all around me, and it feels goooooooood.
