Frappucino and Mocha Breakfast Shakes
I really like a protein shake for breakfast - so quick and easy. Thought I'd share two of my favourites
Mocha Shake – ecc 5g carbs *
1 scoop chocolate protein powder (or whey protein)
2 fl oz /60 ml cream
1 tsp instant coffee (dissolved in 1 tbsp boiling water)
4 fl oz /125 ml water
3-4 ice cubes
Frappuccino Shake – ecc 4.5g carbs *
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (or whey protein)
2 fl oz /60 ml cream
4 fl oz / 125 ml espresso coffee, or other strong coffee (made up and chilled)
3-4 ice cubes
You may need to add some Splenda if you want a sweeter taste. I prefer them without it.
* You may need to check the carb content - those given are for the particular brand of whey protein powder that I use, and yours may be different.
