Default Diarrhea after eating too much fat?

Hello again all! Started on Atkins in late April and never left induction, just merged into LCHF. I feel really good so far and the weight is coming off, but I had a bad reaction last night.

I made a cauliflower crust pizza last night (and it was delicious):
http://foodwishes.blogspot.com/2014...t-let-name.html

The pizza sauce was made with no sugar and I used fresh chunks of mozzarella cheese and fresh basil. Drizzled some extra olive oil on top once it came out of the oven.

Felt okay last night, but woke up at 2:30 with diarrhea. Woke up again at around 6 and really liquid diarrhea. (Sorry for the detail!) Feeling a little better now, took some magnesium this morning. Will take some potassium when I go home and have some salty broth as well. And I will be drinking extra water also.

Do you think this could be because of too much fat at one time?

The reason for that assumption is that I made "chocolate nut fat bombs" the other night. When I had one, my stomach was a little upset and the next day my stools were very loose. The "chocolate nut bombs" have coconut oil, hazelnuts, macadamia nuts, cocoa powder, chocolate protein powder (sweetened with Stevia), and liquid stevia.

Has anyone ever had an adjustment period to adding extra fat to their diet? I usually eat bacon every morning, so I didn't think it would be a problem.

The only coconut oil I had was in the "chocolates" I made. That's about a tbsp. per serving. Other than that, no.

Not to add: I'm hoping maybe it's just a mild stomach bug. I feel like crap. Went into work late, came home early. Thankfully I work for my husband.

A tbsp would set me off. I'd start with a tsp and work up. That stuff can be really rough on the gut.

Definitely! In fact, one of the best bits of advice to give people who are constipated is to eat more fat.
For me, it works every time.

Just an FYI, I think it was a minor stomach bug. Which can is wonderful! I can still have cauliflower pizza! And I had another "chocolate bite" last night with no ill effects. And for dinner, I had filet mignon with a garlic butter cream sauce. So good!
