Default Anyone else on hydrocortisone for adrenal fatigue?

I am taking 12 mg of HC a day and having preoblems, especially in the late morning and early afternoon. I know my cortisol level is dropping then. I have been taking 7 mg HC first thing in the a.m. ( about 7 a.m.) and then 5 mg about 11 a.m. but it doesn't seem to be helping. I know my level is elevated in n the early a.m. so I'm wondering if I should be taking it later in the day. Any suggestions.

Also I have been reading that I shouldn't go too low on carbs as it stresses the adrenals. Any thought on that?

Thanks for any help.

I can't answer you specifically but can tell you that I started taking adrenal support a few months ago and it does help along with Thyroid support.
I also take Armour (2 grains a day)for my thyroid.
I don't get why they'd prescribe HC for an adrenal issue but I'm no doctor.
I do think, based on my own experience, that staying vlc for a long time isn't wise for most women.

Thanks, Judy. I'm on Hydrocortisone because my levels are too low. Also I'm on Nature-throid 1 1/2 grains a day. I have a real problem with fatigue. I'm also hypoglycemic.

I'm just trying to get it together so I can start losing weight again.

OK, I get it.

Would it hurt if you also took adrenal support along with the HC?
Here is what I take daily:
am with my Armour, 1 cap of Thorne Relora Plus
noon with my other supplements, Adrenasense 1 cap
bedtime also with my other supplements, Adrenasense 1 cap.

I get Adrenasense from Amazon.

I'm on a-Drenal supplement prescribed by my Dr. I was told to take it when I need extra support but I notice that the recommended dosage is 2 capsules twice a day--maybe I should try that.

I am also trying LC with 50 grams carbs, no dairy except HWC and butter, added beans, maybe higher carb veggies--and a couple of apricots from my apricot from the tree in my yard. (First time it has produced in the ten years we've had it!)

I agree that taking it (a-Drenal supplement)regularly will help you.

50 grams a day is good. How nice that you've got apricots in your yard.

Thanks. I am going to take the HC about 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. and see how that goes. i will also take the a-Drenal with it. I am also trying to stay at 1500 cals since the carbs are higher.

Again, thanks for your help.
