Cool My world of hurt!

Hello to all that feel the burn as I do on a daily basis. I have 30 pounds still to lose and I go to the gym or do some sort of cardio activity on a daily basis.

I have a very expensive trainer which I will refer to I'm sure in many upcoming entries. Her name is Melissa, I write her name to not use the normal amount of profanity when mentioning her for helping me lose weight and to look better. In the same breath she is my arch enemy for making work as hard as I do. It's a love hate kinda thing and she realizes that.

I will keep you guys posted regarding my daily activities - any comments suggestions or questions are always welcomed on this site.

Shannon

Default Saturday Swimming & Bike riding

Today's cardio workout consisted of 10 laps of swimming in a junior olympic size pool.

In the afternoon I will be doing 1- 2 miles of bike riding.

My goal is to be ready for the 2002 Triathlon season which starts in March.

Until my next workout session...

Shannon,

Interesting title! Hopefully it's the kind of exercise where it hurts so good

Um Wa'il hello working out hurts like a Mother there's nothing good about it. Just a necessary part of life when going from a Kegger belly to a cute little 6 pack.

Default Swimming and more swimming

I swam yesterday and did 14 laps in the pool and then maybe a mile on my bike.

The seat was hurting my butt - not as much cushion as there use to be.

Today Monday 10/8

NOTHING!!! Woo Hooo

Default trainers ...

It's a love/hate relationship .... you hate them now/love them later. Sounds like you have a good one on your hands ...

Keep us posted Shannon. Looking forward to seeing your posts/workoouts.

Default 12-10-8-6-12 workout tonight

I was with Melissa tonight and we did I dont know what so I'll just describe it. Keeping in mind 12-10-8-6-12 were the amount of reps I was doing.

10 minutes of Treadmill warm up
1. Machine where I push the bar up for my upper thighs
2. Weights with hands faced in towards me, pushing up and turning the weights outward to touch the ends of the weights together above my head
3. Leg Lunges
4. Squats
5. Chest press
6. Bands where I step in the middle and raise my arms like wings
7. Laying on a bench arms up and various weights bending my elbows down towards my face
8. Bicep curls
9. Calf raises
10. 9 different positions for crunches at 10 per set
11. Hammer curls
12. Hamstring somthings - free weights bending over to my ankles coming up with straight elbow's
13. Wall push ups
14. Stretches 5 different positions

I sweat like a dog and wouldnt miss a minute of it!

Till I work out again!

Default Swimming hell

I swam this weekend and thought that I had water in my ear. Well that water traveled down into my throat area below my ear and decided to form a pocket. I bought the swimmers ear stuff and nothing has worked.

any swimmers who know how to fix a situation like this? I'm living on Advil and my out of water workouts are suffering because of it.

Thanks,
Shannon

Default not a swimmer but....

I have had water in my ear before and it got so bad that I had to have it flushed out! This happened two different times. I went to the doctors and they use this silver apparatus that reminded me of what my mom uses to decorate the top of the cakes with icing. They make you hold this cup under your ear and then they shoot the water in and it loosens everything up in there. It has been a while but I've had it done twice and it works like a charm...

Default Determined and yet concerned

Here is my week of workout... This week I did all that I was suppose to and it feels really good to be focused and dedicated.

I am a little concerned with my LC'ing. When will I know if I am burning muscle and no longer burning fat. I was checked for my fat% and there wasnt any more fat so Melissa(trainer) says left in my legs. Of course there is clusters still hanging around that refuse to leave. Will all of the fat be gone before I start to lose muscle mass? I dont really understand how the whole thing works.

This is what I did this week...

Monday - nothing yippie
Tuesday - 1 mile run and 1 hour weight training w/trainer melissa
Wednesday - 200 yds of swimming
Thursday - 1 hour of weight training w/trainer
Friday - nothing woo hoo
Saturday - 6 miles of bicycling and 200yds of swimming
Sunday - 1 hour of running and walking not sure of the distance

TTFN

Angry LAZY

I have been a lazy slug! I havent worked out in over a week and I blame no one but myself.

I let my life get control of me instead of me controlling my life. There is always time to workout and I just didnt make any. Dont let excuses ruin a good thing.

On Nov 4th I did do the following...

Bike 9 miles, jog/walk 3.1 miles and swim 200yds

Since then I havent done anything

I'll work out soon!

Shannon
