Makes every other Spin class in the world feel like you're just sitting around looking at pictures of pretty kittens.

Girl, I'm getting ready to start my own gym log, just peeked into yours for a moment... Can I tell you how much I find I have to laugh at how your frustrations and mine parallel each other so much?

First, your comment about how gross you think you look at the gym. I'm with ya on that one, sista! I'm so glad that I joined the gym I go to, though, because there are no prissy girls there. Even the girls with great bodies wear loose clothes.

And the music in your classes driving you crazy, lol! There are many reasons I don't take classes, and that is one of them! I'm not a teenager anymore, and it drives me mad to hear the Zumba class play the same freakin' song I hate day after day after day. Until I convinced my husband I needed his iPod more than he does, lol.

Just remember, no matter how frustrated you get sometimes, every day that you're at the gym, you're improving. No one gets fit in a week or a month. And even after you're fit, you've got to keep the commitment to taking care of yourself. You can do eeet!!

55 Body Pump..... again, with my favouritest instructor ever. That guy makes my day. He's one of those people who puts you in a great mood just by smiling at you. And no, I'm not crushing out. He's just really positive energy emanating. And genuinely so, not just trying to be.

I'm really sensitive to things like that, so it makes me feel sooooo good, when I find someone like that, who can change my mood, instantly, just by being in the same room as me. Does. Not. Happen. That. Often.

To tell you the truth, I kind of respect that you're brave enough to take classes. My thing is, I'm completely uncoordinated. I used to take step, but it took me a month of 3 step classes a week to be able to keep up with the class. And not because I was out of shape at the time.

I'm so pitifully out of shape right now that I don't have the patience to take a class that I'm going to bumble through for a month before I get it, which means it's going to take that much longer to see results. I prefer lifting, because I can study the exercise on YouTube as many times as I want, practice at home as much as I want, and actually do the exercise a little closer to correctly at the gym. I still get corrected all the time, lol, but I love the guys at my gym. If one notices I'm doing an exercise wrong, he'll quietly pull me aside and offer tips. And they're really open to me asking them a question about the exercise they're doing, for the most part. I can tell if someone's in a hurry, and I don't bug him/her if I can help it.

I totally get what you're saying about your Body Pump instructor. Some people are just like that. I think it's a combination of the right personality and the right skill set to be a teacher like that. Where they can correct you without it seeming like they're correcting you.

45 min Spin with BEST INSTRUCTOR DUDE EVER!!!

Ha! Even though I TOTALLY lost concentration in the middle of a SPRINT, stopped cycling, and was like, checking out the ceiling lights or something. He managed to catch my eye, and the look on his face was just like, "WTF, girl?!" But like, reeeeeally funny. So then I nearly fell off the bike laughing.

Also.... man. I do NOT know, wth people EAT,.... to make them SMELL SO BAD, when they sweat!!! When I get home, even when my clothes are drenched through enough to the point that I could wring them out with my bare hands.... they still just smell of... nothing. Air. That's it.

It bums me out when I end up on a bike next to some dude that sweats out nuclear toxins. Man, bad news bears, or what!!

Also,... some people's nuclear toxin sweat smells REALLY awful,.... AND like pot. WTH is that about??!

The gym is a weird place.

In more exciting news...... I am as of today, FINALLY,.... in the SINGLE DIGIT COUNTDOWN... till my 5 month weigh in!!!!

9 DAYS LEFT!

GO TEAM ME!!!!!!!

Hi There,
It is nice to see someone else who exercises lots as well
Mondays i do 30 min spin, 2 mile run, 20 mins ab's
tuesday rest
wednesday 30 mins abs and 2 x 50 min spin classes back to back
thursday body conditioning 1 hour then 50 min spin
friday 1 hour personal training, 2 spin classes
saturday 1 hour body conditioning and 50 min spin
sunday is rest
I also am struggling to lose weight and bouncing around on the scales. It is really frustrating to eat to plan, work your butt off literally and see no move on the scales. Do you use a tape measure? Although my scales refuse to move i do see some body shrinkage each week.

You are hilarious, talking about other people's smells! I don't know what causes that, maybe you're right, and it's what they eat or something, but I've noticed that on occasion, too, usually from guys. Maybe it's all the testosterone? My sweat doesn't smell like rose petals, but it's not overpowering like some folks. I've actually noticed that since I've started LCing, my sweat doesn't have much of an odor, either. Go figure. It's probably all those evil, evil carbs that are assaulting your nose!

OMG...also, I just realised, this means probably only 6 or 7 days left of weightloss... before I start to gain and bloat for TOM and lose a whole week of time!! BOOOOOOO!!!!!

It's so hard to exercise to bad music! You need those good vibes to work to. I went to a spin last week with heavy rock & guitars, and I'm like WTF??
I like pop I can sing to or house music I can get into the groove to or at least a funky beat! My trainer teaches a couple of spin classes a week & I gave him a couple of my fave tunes today & he's going to work them into the class this week.
maybe you could try copy some of your face music & ask the instructors to include them.
I mean you spend so much time at the gym it's the least they can do I reckon!!
Keep up the good work, it's got to pay off one day, let's hope it's tomorrow! Xxx

NOTHING!!!!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

And I knew this would happen,... because now today I want to go even less!! I am steaming mad right now.

Yeah, anyway, I went to the gym yesterday after rushing around like a crazy person all day, rushed to get there 35 min early so I could get a ticket for class, which meant I had to wait 35min.

Then they never opened the studio, and after ANOTHER 25 min announced someone had gone off with the key, and so class was cancelled.

At which point I could have waited ANOTHER 35 min, to go to Body Pump,... but I just didn't feel like it. Gave up and went home. Couldn't face the machines on my own, too boring.

Then I had the last bit of cheese in the fridge (I think I should have started my No Cheese No Wine Olympics WITHOUT open cheese in the fridge, being that I live alone!!!) And then I had some BAD potato chips. And wine.

But no grains, or sweets or sugar. So,... it's again, fine for maintaining. I just need to get back to losing. I have only 5 days left till my 5 month weigh in. I want to make it count now!!
