Default Carbmaster Yogurt

I saw it at Kroger today. Turns out it's been around for a while, I just didn't know about it.

I didn't buy any; I buy plain yogurt with no additives, and some of the chemical ingredients in this Carbmaster stuff I wasn't sure about.

But I think it's a really good sign that normal grocery stores are starting to carry LC products!

My local WalMart used to have a pretty good LC section. But no more. Probably just did not sell enough.

They sold Blue Bunny LC yogurt, and Blue Bunny stopped making it, from what I can tell. It tasted good, but for me, caused intestinal problems. Carbmaster is the only LC stuff that didn't cause problems for me. The Dannon LC stuff (which Walmart still sells) also didn't agree with me.

I kinda thought that. I do use some artificial sweeteners right now, but I plan to mostly phase those out; they're just to defuse my sugar cravings so I don't fall off the wagon, until the cravings fade away. But mostly I prefer to eat real food.

But at least having LC products on the shelves alerts people to the fact that something called "low carb" exists, and maybe when they get frustrated with low fat diets that don't work they'll investigate LC.

Funny thing is that I haven't visited the forums here in AGES, and I just sat down at the computer with a Carbmaster yogurt! I buy them at Ralph's (in the Kroger corporate family) and they are quite yummy! They have some new flavors that are great.

Leaving the artificial sweeteners and "better living through chemistry" arguments for elsewhere... If you want to try it, I think you'll be pleasantly suprised. 4g carb, 3 of which are sugars. Yum!

kind of strange but in the kroger family out in seattle we have QFC and Fred Meyer which both carry the carbmaster yogurt (one says QFC and the other says Fred Meyer) and there is a HUGE difference between the consistency of the two - the one from Fred Meyer is nice and creamy and the one from QFC is super firm and jello like (you really have to mix it up)....wonder why that is...

Default really

It's really too bad that less and less local markets now have LC section or are selling LC products.
