Practice plan thru June 30.

Alternate Day Fasting - Monday, Wednesday and Friday (ADF M-W-F). Exception would be if I get sick, then I'll reconsider this idea. I'm aiming for hitting 3 days a week but, as this is practice, I don't expect to be perfect at first, or ever for that matter.

Tracking below. First line is days of week, lines below them are hits and misses for the days that week. I'll note if it was 24 or 36hr fast.

Eating weeekend. I acutally brought some lunch along this time. Was OK eating between kiteboard sessions - can of tuna and some chicken thighs. I was less hungry than normal when I got back home. Maybe an idea there.

Fast planned today, but you never know ...

1. On plan only.
1a. Limit alcohol 1 glass or equivalent (two half glasses) a week. nothing today.
2. Exercise 5 days a week at least 20 min - None today.

3. 5 days a week - Clean something.!!! Have never been a good housekeeper, I have time for creating better habits.

Life just got turned on it's ear - my sister is coming to live with me temporarily til she finds a job and a place of her own. This house is unfinished, (wasn't meant to be rented but it just worked out) plus I am way out in the country where she grew up but doesn't want to live really, so it will not be too long, I imagine. She is leaving the signif-oth and has wanted to move back up to this area for a long time. I want to continue with this thread, don't want life to blow me off course again... the exercise may be on pause for now, but when she arrives, I may need to get out a little more.

Day 29 of my "It's time to lose some weight" Challenge

The weekend didn't go well. So much for finishing up the month on a good note. Volume wasn't horrible. It was just too many carbs and dabbling in 'off-limits' keto food. My daughter is home from college and she is doing keto. It's just that she is much looser that I am about the carbs, especially from veggies like onions. She also cooks now -- which is helpful and not helpful at the same time. She likes to make the keto sweetened things. She expects me to eat the keto(ish) meal that she prepares. I'm not blaming her at all. I just need to find out how to navigate this new environment where I'm not the only one cooking. I need to eat tighter than she does. I will have to make this understood.

Today was all good. I'm done eating for the day so I'll count it.

Days at or under 20 carbs: 24
Days with good portion control: 25
Days avoiding my "Problem" LC foods: 25

36hr fast and massive activity yesterday - I came home and was wiped out. finished up the 5g of sodium i spooned out in the morning and crashed till alarm at 05:00 - feeling great this morning seeing how many sets of 10 pushups I can do till failure - turns out, not that many ha!

Ken, sounds like it will be interesting handling that double edge sword of someone willing to cook for you but not accommodating quite to your current plan. I also took a look at your current lipid post - that's interesting as well. I see that we have a few local clinics that can run that around here, I think it's worth it - my doc in the past didn't want to do any extra stuff - just the basics so maybe I'll go on my own for a spot check. My eating pattern has been much different these last 2 months that's for sure.

I started up again yesterday, no 'Forbidden Foods':
YOU KNOW who you are, forbidden foods, and I'm banishing you! LOL
Wheat, chips, bananas, bagel, tater tots and bread.

My list of no-no foods depends on what is available to me at home and likely to cause temptation. I COULD be ordering things that are bad for me I guess if I wanted to, but generally am not doing that anymore. So it's mainly stuff that is here that causes problems.

So this is Day 2

We have received this robotic pool sweeper, after MUCH deliberation on my siblings parts! Debate over just about EVERYTHING is usually extended beyond the pale!LOL

The pool is still green because it was in such a bad state, but it would be great if I actually COULD go swimming this summer.

I read that even simply putting your feet in for awhile will improve your circulation.

Day 30 of my "It's time to lose some weight" Challenge

Rock solid day yesterday. Well under 20 net carbs and just under 2K calories. I did well for the first 30 days. I shed a few pounds. I want to make the next 30 days better still. I'm not looking for fast weight loss. I just want to be trending in the right direction over time.

Days at or under 20 carbs: 25
Days with good portion control: 26
Days avoiding my "Problem" LC foods: 26

I am not going to worry about exercise. I am busy at work, and now am dealing with getting the house ready for sister to move in - will take this off. Between work and my own state of unpacking and having to cook the boatload of food my kind landlord sent me - and working I am already tired out and overwhelmed. The main thing is to be on plan, and that does include what seems like an off plan item for dinner many nights, but it works for me - I am losing. Limiting alcohol is important for my health and my sister likes her cocktails - she runs circles around me. I will do my best. Cleaning - gods help me - yes, I have a lot to do.
