Default Back at it.

Hello all

Well going to be back at it starting Sunday 6/30/19. I know this should not be that difficult to do. I just need to be a better planner.

I want to keep things simple so any sample meal tips for B/L/D would be appreciated.

Joe

Welcome, BigJoe42.

I know sometimes people say this is easy, but what I think they really mean is "easy compared to being hungry all the time on low calorie/low fat."

The beginning when you're trying to get fat-adapted and switched over from being a carb burner can be especially hard. Later social pressures or the sheer convenience of carb food can make staying low carb tricky. So, don't beat yourself up about it. If one day isn't a success, then just commit to yourself to keep going the next day!

Welcome back, Big Joe

"You know this should not be that difficult"...but you have been on and off this forum since 2005. What keeps you from making LC a lifestyle? It obviously works for you as a diet, yet is it only meal ideas you need? Would more accountability help? When it has been successful what made you give up? And How could you avoid that again? The simple Keto plates on DietDoctor are easy and quick.

Piggybacking on JEYs comment.....I found challenges helpful to keep eating LC a high priority. I like the 90 day change your habit challenge where YOU pick the challenge and over 90 days make it a new habit. Sure helped me get in control of my pizza binging. Also the 5 pound challenge can get your spirits reved up.

Simple meals
B. Eggs and cheese omlet. Or fill with sauted vegies or sausage.
L. Or D. Broiled meat and salad. Use Italian dressing as a sauce for chicken. Or a tablespoon of A1 for a burger or steak.

I find the boxed organic mixed greens make two small salads a day easier.

And premade LC dressings, mayo, mustard, worchestershire sauce simple basics to liven up meats.

Remember your salt. Lo salt is my go to. Sodium and potassium in one shake.

Good luck.

Hey! I think you were around when I was first here in 2014 (you’re name sounds familiar). I just recently came back too as I am a bad planner as well. I am of the same mindset - it’s easy, I just have to do it. Good luck!!

Welcome!

I keep things pretty simple since I also cook different meals for my family. A typical day for me is coffee with HWC in the morning; lunch is usually a steak, sauteed in ghee, mixed with sauteed mushrooms, broccoli and onion, (cooked over the stove-very easy!), with a side of pork rinds; afternoon is more coffee and then usually Greek yogurt with nuts or seeds mixed in; supper is eggs with jerky or sausage and a chunk of cheddar, or leftovers or salmon. I made a large roast in my crockpot yesterday and have enough leftovers for suppers, for the rest of the week

Joe, you were here when I started and I had to chase you down to your weight. I'm still here, chase me to mine - and that's not even your goal weight

Do this thing for 6 months at least. Commit Brother!!!!
