SpiderLily, How was the past week? Did you get through Thanksgiving by trying substitutions in addition to all the basic allowed low carb foods?
Hope you also had time to watch some videos on diabetes and start to reduce the inflammation to lessen pain. Wishing you all the best,

I made it through Thanksgiving no problem. My family went to my Sister in laws we always have Thanksgiving there since my brother past away in 06.I carried several lowcarb dishes.Funny thing is they were gone before the high carb foods.I have really done well was a little disappointed with my weightloss to begin with. But this week I have officially lost 39 lbs.I was so excited when I stepped on my scale. My pain hasn't gotten any better in fact it feels worse.I don't take pain meds unless it's a can't stand it any more pain. I took a Tramadol Tuesday night finally eased off. My diabetic numbers are good especially the last two weeks. My weight now is 215 yay me.

39 pounds in six weeks!! Nothing to be disappointed about there.
It does take a while for the inflammation in joints to lessen, but has your doctor checked for other causes than effects of diabetes? Rule out something more serious? There is a sub-forum on Fibromyalgia here...maybe add some of the natural pain relievers used for that. https://forum.lowcarber.org/forumdisplay.php?f=47
Wishing the pain lessens for you, so you can walk outside, sleep well and heal from the diabetes.
