Question Karen and anyone else who knows anything about Stevia...

OMG - I actually was able to buy Stevia in my home town health food store. Now, what the heck do I do with it ? Can I cook with it and what can I add it too in place of Splenda or Aspartame ? TIA.

Oh, it was SUPER EXPENSIVE. $8.99 for one tiny bottle. Tiny as in about the same size of a small pill bottle or container of Visine.

Hi thin!

You can use it in any place that you would use artificial sweetener. Go easy though because it's really sweet. In low-carb sweets, artificial sweeteners don't provide any structure like sugar does so you can use it purely to taste.

In LC Kitchen FAQ , there's a link to to the exchange rate of Splenda to Stevia.
