Thumbs up Love Mock Danish...

For first trial, used the version w/ 2oz crm cheese, 1 egg, 1 pkt Splenda, cinnamon & butter. Used a ramekin that I sprayed and mixed it all in there. Micro'd at 70% for about 2 minutes. Drizzled w/ sf maple syrup. Very very yummy. Want to try different ways and even use for dessert. Gonna put a tsp of sugar free jam. 1 Tbsp + 5g.

Default AWSOME "fake" danish

I made this with fat free cream cheese and egg beaters and also minus the lemon. At first I used a bowl... after 3 minutes still runny. So I put the whole thing on a tea saucer dish and spread it all the way to edge. I nuked it for 45 seconds. Then I put 1 tablesppon fifty/50 in the middle and nuked again for 45 seconds. This was awsome. Tasted like the really thing. I would not of guessed no pastry....
With fat free cream cheese and 1/4 cup egg beater ... the count is
cal= 114,carb=9g, net carb= 6 g(soribitol in jelly) fat gram= .5,fat cal=4.5

What a great idea ... thanks

Hey lilpader, I see you're doing "my own" plan, so not sure on your exact intentions, but on Atkins and other keto diets the more fat in the cream cheese the better

Thinking I might omit the egg. I know it is just cheesecakey then but... Not sure on the whole sweet omelette thing either.

Default Reply in this thread without egg...help?

In reading throught the posts in this thread, I had seen one where someone thought it was too eggy. They said they were going to leave out the egg and tweak the recipe. The response from someone else was that they were basically eating cheesecake. Can't find that thread can anyone help. I like the idea of making a single serving cheesecake. Thanks.

Made this delicious treat tonight. I did make a slight change, i added banana extract & cinnamon instead of lemon. Although it looks strange, it's Very yummy!!!

Default Made mock danish 1st time!

I cannot believe I waited this long to try this!!!!!!! I am going to eat this for b-fast every single morning (that wouldn't even be bad, right?)
I made mine with the cream cheese, 1 egg, some brown sugar twin, cinnamon, and some crushed walnuts.
I'm already thinking of the thousands of ways to make it.

It's yummy but does anyone know how to make it not look like scrambled eggs? I use 2 oz cream cheese and 1 egg in microwave for 2 mins and it always looks like deflated rubbery scrambled eggs. I wish I could make it look as good as the one in the gallery. *jealous*

This is one of the first recipes I tried. I love it! It sure beats the bacon & eggs and egg salad routine. It tastes just like a cream cheese danish.
