Default Down 16 lbs!

Well...it has been a bit harder this time...my third try. But I am down 16 lbs with 9 more to go...maybe more. I am able to wear cute skirts again and went from a size 14 to size 10. Am thinking about getting rid of all my 12's and 14's...I just don't want to go back just forward. Thanks!

vsalmon-
Congratulations! How long did it take you? I have been on for 17 days and I'm only down 5 pounds at the most.

Remickmom,
I re-started on November 21, 2012 after 3 years of trying to maintain my previous 30lb loss with exercise and eating less. That did not work.
So I had gained it all back. I know Atkins says "lose 15 lbs in the first 2 weeks" and it is possible, but many of us are slower. Your loss is good. Just hang in there, read all you can and fine tune it for you. Each of us is a little different and certain foods speed up or stall our weight loss. Also...I have had days when there is no scale loss but my clothes are looser so the scale does not tell the whole story. Wish I had measured in the beginning as many use that to mark loss also. Take care now and don't give up!

Wow aramaya,,,You have lost a lot! How long has it taken and are you following the Atkins phases? My problem in the past was in maintaining once I got to my goal. I am thinking that even though grains and potatoes are "legally" in the upper phases they just do not work for me. Have been hearing about "wheat belly" and wondering if that has been one of my main problems all along. Wonderful to hear from people with such awesome losses!

AWW thankyou..I started in feb last year, but never really looked at atkins till i joined here, had heard to much negative stuff, but came here and god everyone really helpedi think that was in june?will check..I did induction for longer then 2 weeks, then eased other foods in,like fruit..have come of it a few times for a week here or there, but ive learnt i cant really eat cheese, dairy or heavy red meat,,and if i eat bread then i crave sugar...i havent really gone through all the phases in truth if i feel like ive eaten wrong or feel heavy then i eat really basic and clean for a week or so and it helps alot.thats where i am now after eating my way through xmas,lol...Your like me then with grains, although i seem to be ok with potatoes,so far...oh i did if for a good while as well, and in truth eating that wayfeels normal to me.
I bet you look great in your mini with boots, its a good look, ive since bought a mini kilt skirt,,i love it,and with boots its great.aww cant wait to see your progress pics,,you know its great, you can feel how happy you are,,,fantastic.

Well...I did take the plunge and post a before picture. Surprised I even had it as when I have been heavy I refused to be in pictures. Sometimes hubby would snap pics and then I would get into his phone later and delete. This one got through...maybe because it was actually with his cousin and sister (I cut them out). Anyway...I have lost another pound so have lost 17lbs, got my hair cut, back to my natural hair color and starting to look and feel thinner and younger again. Love wearing skirts again and skinnier jeans. Will post a current pic soon.

great work! 10 lbs is a lot! Every time I'm down a few lbs I'm grateful to myself for sticking to it. Keep up the good work.
