Talking Supplement shopping time YAY

On my list for the Vitamin Shoppe spree:

L-Carnitine 500 mg
CoQ10 100 mg
Chromium Complex 200mcg
Psyillium Husks 625 mg
Lypolisis Strips 100 ct.

Fake kethcup
Cinnamon and Apple crisp breakfast bars

I took some advice from yesterday's threads, except after HEAVY research, I will be taking the Xenadrine EFX. Based upon the ingredients, I have found that they are identical in many ways to what the Dr. Atkin's Plan outlines for vita nutrients. (green tea, grape seed extract, b-6, pantothenic acid, Vit. C, magnesium, ginger root, etc.)

What's chromium complex? Who makes it and where do you get it (probably not available in Canada anyways).

I am hoping to replace my chromium picolinate as it has gotten some bad press recently...having trouble finding chromium nicotinate....??? probably again due to being in Canada.

Would love to know what is in your chromium complex and brand name!

Thanks,

Froufie

This is NOT the "bad" version that is supposed to cause DNA damage.

Thanks for the info! I was out today again trying to replace my chromium with no luck.

No nicotinate or polynicotinate to be found......Would love to find some chromium complex.

The only kind I can find is chromium GTF (glucose tolerance factor). Anyone know about this type? Any good? I have not read about this one anywhere.....???

Help!

Froufie

P.S. I am also shopping around for 5-HTP - if anyone has any info or experience with this let me know!

GTF chromium is strongly recommended in CALP. It is one of their "add ons" to support the diet. They make a big point of looking for the GTF labelling.

Found something ...finally...at a health food store downtown...Called "Blood sugar" control or something..contains vitamin A, some herbs (fenugreek, etc). each pill contains 100 mcg of CHROMIUM POLYNICOTINATE! yay....says to take 3 pills 3 times per day, but I think that is overkill.

May take 1 per meal to equal 1500 vit a, and 300 mcg of the chromium....

I do think my cravings are worse since I finished the picolinate.

Also bought some 5-HTP which I am planning to take as well...

Froufie
