Default Question on recipe conversion

I have a recipe that calls for this:
4.5 oz Erythritol (SoNourished) (4.5 oz – 3/4 cup)

I want to use Stevia Granulated instead, but I don't know how much to use.
I searched all over for conversion calculators and other things, but I couldn't find anything.

Does anyone know what the equivalent would be?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Primster. Can you post a link to the recipe? Something like cookies would be different from, say, a BBQ sauce. Sometimes, the granulated sweetener provides structure the way sugar would have and the amount might take experimenting.

Both the stevia and the erythrytol products probably tell you that they measure the same as sugar, but it seems like the taste of these sweeteners are subjective. Personally, I'd hate that licorice-y taste of stevia in baked goods, but not everyone notices it... and I probably wouldn't notice it in a spicy/savoury recipe.

Also, I've found that most recipes tend to oversweeten so using less can be a good way to start.

Ah, okay. You could try it, if you don't mind the taste of stevia and you're confident that it'll provide similar structure. I don't have much experience doing cookies, hopefully someone else will chime in. Let us know the results if you try them.
