Red face The road to hell and back!

Hi gang!!

Happy New Year!

Did anyone notice my complete silence on this thread for the last three weeks or so. Well Christmas hit me like a ton of bricks, or a stone (for the British among us). Yup 14 big ones. I could not resist ANYTHING at Christmas. I won't regale you with details.

Suffice it to say it's been a hard road back. Between January 5 when I vowed to resume Atkins and now I've started induction twice. In my defence it was my son's birthday last Monday and I could not resist the birthday cake. I'm on day 5 of my second try, cheat-free and holding on by a slim thread. I keep seeing bread and cakes and cookies when I close my eyes. I have however lost half of the stone I put on, so hopefully I'll be able to hold on.

To help me through this rough patch I've just gotten some Erythritol Granular Sweetener and SF candy from Diabetic Heaven. I'm lucky as these do not seem to stall me.

So wish me good luck and keep your fingers crossed for me as I journey once more through low carb land.

Good luck to all of you. It's good to see all the old avatars.

Nicckkii

Welcome back! You will do it! The holidays are really hard to get through, with the pressure from everywhere plus our old cravings to contend with. So glad you are back with us.

Welcome back...I'm a re-starter too, but at least you're getting back much sooner than I did which is a GREAT thing. The sooner you can get back, the better off you'll be. My little break lasted 6 months during which time I gained back all the weight I had lost. Don't berate yourself in any way. Congratulate yourself for doing something good for yourself. Good luck on your journey!

Welcome back, I am a new face you probably did not know. I guess the thing that stops me from cheating is knowing that it is sometimes tough for people to get back on the right track, so I'm trying not to get off it. Its been tough lately, so I empathise.

Kick those carbs to the trashcan where they belong and get back to the low carb lifestyle! Once you feel good again, no cravings and back in control, you'll be back to being a big loser! Good luck.
