no sugar dark chocolate candy--easy!
I don't come here often so don't know if anyone has posted this sort of super easy recipe (probably) but I just discovered how to make no sugar chocolate candy and it's so good and so easy I had to share!
Take a square or 2 of unsweetened 100% chocolate (baker's chocolate) and melt in a cup in the microwave (just 30 seconds or so, stir, then a tad more and stir again). Add 1 packet of Truvia sweetener, or a bit more to taste. Quickly add some nuts (I use walnuts), coat with the chocolate and drop onto some waxed paper on a plate. Refrigerate until hard, then lift off and store in a plastic zip bag in the refrigerator. Makes just a few yummy dark chocolates that are as good as with sugar. You can also just make small chocolate drops by omitting the nuts and just putting the microwaved chocolate/Truvia mixture onto the waxed paper in dime-sized dots.
I think the Truvia works better than Splenda as it has a more sugar-like texture because it has some fiber in it. Truvia contains both stevia and the sugar alcohol that starts with an e than I can't pronounce, much less spell! But you know what I mean
