Default The best/most successful diet I have ever done!

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum and just wanted to share my utter elation at my success so far following the Rose Elliott Veggie Low-Carb Diet.

I started on New Year's Day so far, and am now on Day 8. The book warned that I may feel tired, get headaches and so on as I go in to Ketosis, but I had absolutely no problems whatsoever, and given I was carb-crazy over the Christmas period, this was a nice surprise.

The most incredible thing is how little I eat and how long I feel full for, and of course how much I've lost so far. So Week 1, I've lost 5 pounds, and have eaten lots of lovely food, its so nice to find a weight-loss diet specifically for veggies. I can eat breakfast at 7.30 (scrambled eggs with double cream and tomatoes - heaven!) get to the office for 9.00 and not feel hungry until 12.30. Previously, eating a big bowl of cereal would leave me feeling hungry at 10.00 normally and of course that would lead to snacking on biscuits. I'm actually finding myself not able to eat all of the food in the meal plans because I'm so full! The diet has also rekindled my love for tofu, went seriously off it for a while, but have bought these Wild Garlic fillets and Japanese fillets and they're really nice and so filling. The no alcohol and no caffeine is probably the hardest bit, but even then it feels quite invigorating to give my body a rest from all that.

This is also the only diet I have ever done where I feel energetic enough to sustain my exercise regime of kickboxing once a week and cycling twice a week, so chuffed to bits with that.

I've done Slimming World in the past which was fine for the first year, but then got sick and tired of potatoes and baked beans, did Weight Watchers which was hopeless (not enough choice for veggies) and did LighterLife which put me in hospital(!), so if you're looking for a diet that gives you results, keeps you full and gives you energy, without compromising on your "veggie-ness", I cannot recommend this highly enough.
