Default Fat Fast

Have any of you done the fat fast and had any success with it. I saw one of MissModel's posts and she said she was successful. Could you tell me what you ate while trying it? The full 1,000 calorie feedings? Less of them??? How long did you do it and what did you lose. I am gonna go get myself some macadamia nuts and brie cheese- what else should I get???

Default Fat Fast

I started the fat fast as outlined by Atkins on Monday Nov. 1. I've lost 5 lbs so far and am at the 80% ketosis level as per the strip. I'm eating macadamia nuts, cream cheese, and sour cream. I do feel hungry but I know it's just for a few days and I'm encouraged by the loss so far. Atkins advises it is not safe to follow if you lose weight too quickly.

Did either of you keep it off when you switched back to Induction? It doesn't sound that healthy-it seams strange that he would outline a fast.

The book recommends the fat fast only for extremely insulin resistant people.

I am doing an almost fat fast right now - it's not quite low-carb enough to be a real fat fast because I eat about a cup of veggies every other day, bumping up my carbs. I have been losing 3.5 pounds a week, so I figure it is pretty safe. I definitely need to watch calories at this point, so I will probably end up maintaining on something like how I am eating now. I rely alot on macadamia nuts and coconut milk since I gave up dairy a few weeks back.
