Question Atkins shake for a protein shake?

Didn't really know which forum this fits in so I thought here would get the best replies..

Instead of a regular protein shake after lifting weights, would an Atkins Advantage shake work the same?

It has 20grams of Whey Protein and 5carbs..which is about the same as the protein shake I drink anyways....

Also is it OK if I add cream to my protein shakes after working out to increase my fat intake?
Might sound like a stupid question, but nobody ever says anything about eating fat after working out..I've only heard about protein and carbs..so is there a reason that I shouldn't be doing this? =0

It depends on the workout - if you're lifting weights then it's best to avoid both fat and fiber in your post workout meal. Both will slow absorption of the protein, the last thing you want. Add cream only if you're talking cardio, not resistance training.

Oops. I've done it a few times after resistance training.

Thanks.

How do Atkins shakes taste... I love designer whey protein and it isn't too bad on the carbs can someone post the carbs and nutritional info for atkins so I can compare...it took me forever to find one that actually tasted good. I like eas too.
