I just covered them with water and didn't use the salt on the yolks so I hope they are going to be okay.

Now I just need to figure out how to use them up besides in omelets.

The salt was if doing yolks only.

What do you mean by "covered them with water"?

The article says that fresh eggs "last 3 to 5 weeks in the fridge", but I have found that they will actually last much longer. I have chickens, and they slow down in their laying drastically as the days get shorter and colder. I used to freeze eggs to get me through the winter, but since reading the following article I just keep them in the fridge. I run out before I have any go bad.

I just covered them in water so they wouldn't dry out. Read this on several sites.

Interesting article. When we lived in Alaska most people believed that we didn't get the eggs until they were six months old. Maybe it was true.
