Breyers Carb Smart Ice Cream
Hello everyone!!
Great news here...I have tried the chocolate and strawberry (eventhough I hate strawberry) and they were both awesome. They weren't icey or tasteless...even my boyfriend said it was good and he's not on Atkins.
Yeah I saw low carb ice cream yesterday at Price chopper. Pretty skimpy servings , 1/2 cup for four carbs but hey much better than never having ice cream. I looked every where for low carb milk though with no sucess.
b/t/w gooberb I live in VT too try the Barre VT Price Chopper for Breyers lo carb.
I've been making my own ice cream.
I blend up i 1/2 quarts heavy cream with flavorings ( vanilla, coco and chocolate extract if making choc or strawberries) and splenda to taste. Then I add 3 or 4 tbs of Keto icecream mix to it. Pop it into the icecream maker and in 20 minutes have soft serve or put it in the freezer for a couple of hours and have the best real ice cream you ever tasted.

I'm all for making things from scratch......but for $2.85 a half gallon at Super Wal-mart...it's not worth my time to make my own low carb icecream....especially since the carb count is lower on the breyers brand than if I made it myself! Yummy!
i tried some LeCarb ice cream last night. i tried homemade vanilla....thought it tasted like coconut! i had just a few spoonfuls with a few raspberries.....will do without the ice cream next time....i also bought a chocolate almond flavor...i'll try a bite of that tonight!
And it is Grrrrreat! I bought strawberry and vanilla. They were just over $3 and they taste fantastic. Creamy and delish. My kids will love them too. As previously mentioned in some other threads, I don't understand why the 3rd main ingredient is high fructose corn sryup. I don't understand why they had to have so much sugar in it and they still used some Splenda. I think they still have some perfecting of the recipe to do! But the taste is yummy.
