Default Chicken Dip..more than a dip..make it a meal

a friend gave this recipe for chicken dip it is so good - i just eat it by itself - not all at one sitting because it is very rich.

Chicken Dip

1 -10oz. can White Chicken Meat (i like using the white meat better makes it firmer)
1 -8oz. block of Cream Cheese
1/2 cup of sour cream
1 tsp. of chicken bouillon powder (cubes do not work well with this)
Cheddar Cheese (for topping - as much as you like)

Mix all ingredients and heat in 350* oven until cheese melts and dip is warmed through about 20 minutes.

I think it would be delicious to makes lettuce wraps with this dip! Maybe a little messy but definitely yummy. If you're more into dipping perhaps some celery? Or unsalted pork rinds? Or Broccoli?

I'm bumping this up because it's very, very good!

I personally mix all the ingredients together except the cheddar, then I like to spoon it into paper muffin cups, top each with a bit of cheddar, and bake them that way. Then I have little individual snack-sized portions [this stuff is so good that if I made it in a casserole dish, I'd eat the entire thing at once!]. I usually make a double batch, which nicely fills about 12 muffin cups. ^_^

ETA: I got a carb count of 13.6 grams for this entire recipe, assuming that you use a full cup of shredded cheddar. I use a half a cup, which drops the carb count to 12 grams. I get about six servings out of one batch, so each serving would be two grams of carbs.
I also got a calorie count of 2115 for the entire recipe, so six servings = 353 calories apiece.
Protein worked out to be 137 grams for the whole recipe, so six servings = 23 grams of protein apiece.
And fat was 138 grams for the whole recipe, so six servings = 23 grams of fat apiece.

Boy, I hope I calculated all that right. O_< It's good though, because you get lots of protein and fat and a fair amount of calories [I have a terrible time trying to eat my required amount of calories and protein everyday-that appetite suppression works like a charm!].

i also discovered the dixie diner texas toasters to use in place of a cracker/chip for this dip. mmm mmm mmm good.
