Default Quick Seafood Salad

Ingredients:

1 can fancy lump crabmeat, chilled
1 can salad shrimp, chilled
2 tbsp. mayonnaise
1 tsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. chopped green onion tops
3-4 dashes "Spike" seasoning (to taste)

If you like crab/seafood salad, next time you're at the grocery store, pick up a can of fancy lump crabmeat and a can of shrimp. Put them away in the fridge when you get home.

Later, once they're chilled - you can open, drain, put into a bowl, add mayo, lemon juice, chopped green onion tops and a few dashes of Spike seasoning (to taste). Mix well and since everything is already chilled - it's ready to eat.

I am now in the habit of putting my canned seafood into the fridge so that whenever I feel like something other than tuna salad, I've got the crab or shrimp on hand.

This sounds good and I would love to try it but what is Spike seasoning and where would I find it?

Spike Seasoning can be found in the spice aisle of most grocery stores - it's a spice blend...

Here's a pic of what it looks like:

Putting canned fish in the fridge is a great idea. Thanks for suggesting that.

Thanks

I always put a few things of tuna or canned seafood in the fridge now. Nice and cold when I want it.

Warm tuna salad just doesn't appeal.
