Question Body Fat Calculator Question

OK...I just went to the link often provided here that calculates carb up, Body Fat, protein per pound, etc...

Here is my question:

It bases the body fat on WAIST measurements...my waist is very small in comparison to the rest of my measurements.

ME: 174 pounds
Waist: 30 inches
Hips: 42 inches
Chest: 40 inches
Thighs: 25 inches
Arms: 12 inches

So...it calculated my % body fat as 19.23678...I just KNOW it's higher than that...right???

Please advise...

I am pretty much in the same boat as you - waist 30", hips 40", bust 35" and I can get very low BF% readings depending on the method used to calculate it. What I have done is take a few different forumlas and work the average.

There's a pretty good forumla in this thread that you can use. And a little further down there is a link to an online calculator you can use as well. Leanandstrong offers two body fat calculators on the right hand side if you scroll down to the bottom.

Of course your best indicator is always an objective second set of eyes, or a photograph.
