Default Period Problems!!

Hi everyone,
I've been reading posts on this site for years and decided to sign up today! Not sure if this question fits this thread but sure here goes...

I first began low carbing about 1.5 years ago after hideous pictures of a wedding I attended emerged on FB!! During my hardcore low carbing days I lost 2.5 stone! I went from a UK size 16 and I'm currently a UK size 10! I'm looking to lose another 10 pound which has resulted in me rejoining the low carb world this month.

I remember when I first began low-carbing I had mid-cycle bleeding! I'm on birth control and had no issues with breakthrough bleeding before this.
I'm 3 weeks into my low-carb diet and once again, the break-through bleeding has reared it's ugly head. I understand that this seems to be a common thing but my question is - does this affect my BC? I'm 26 and not ready for children. I remember reading somewhere that it didn't but just want someone to reconfirm it for me

LC can definitely make you more fertile. A low carb or low GI diet is often recommended for woman with PCOS.
Since you're on birth control, though, I'm not sure what could be going on there.
This might be an issue you need to discuss with your doctor.
