Just curious if anyone else has this. I just figured it out for myself. I think it might explain why I can't lose weight. It is all stuck in my legs and butt!

Even after weight loss and at 63, I'm a stage 1 for sure. Often read that after menopause, a woman loses the fat from thighs and butt and becomes more of Apple, gains the Menopot and flattens the butt.

Well, ten years later, I'm still waiting!!
I have a photo from last week in a bathing suit that illustrates this in all its glory I immediately cropped it at the waist but still have the original to taunt me.

I'm a stage 3-4, but luckily don't have any lymphedema that's normally associated with it, my hips and upper legs are bigger (proportionately) than the stage 3 woman, and though I'm just under 400lbs, my waist is currently 48inches, with a 48D bust and my widest point (backside and hips) is unmeasurable with my tape measure, but I'd guess at roughly 74-78 inches.

I feel very, very lucky that I don't really have much in the way of lymphedema, and just hope I can lose some weight and become more active before it inevitably starts.

I'm a 3-4 and the condition has now progressed to lymphdema. I have to wear special custom-sized, compression stockings and boots. The stockings cost almost $400/pair and have to be replaced 3-4 times year as my legs incrementally reduce.

Weirdly my lipedema was reduced on the Fat Flush Plan (FFP). I lost 2-3 sizes in my hips on FFP.

yes I really think I have this, I have for over a year now but have not found a dr to help me here and my life is so busy I try not to think of it. I lost so much weight but hormone changes with a 3rd pregnancy sent my body into a horrible weight gain in legs and bum. My legs are hardly recognizable anymore, it's bad. I am around 165 lbs or so and I would say SO much of my weigh it is in legs . Low carving has not helped at all, they just keep getting worse. It's so hard to live with. The pain in my legs just keep getting worse as well. I always had bigger legs and that is always were most weight has been, I think I have had lipedema my whole life. I was lucky to lose weight before.. but ya the hormones with 3rd pregnancy has changed my life and body.
